Heading North again May 1-5. Joel has to work, so Felix and I will be flying solo. This kid is accumulating airline miles like you would not believe. 🙂 Now we just have to get him a passport.
Looking forward to seeing the ground up there this time…
New York, March 2013
Last week I called Krag and asked him when he would be getting home for spring break, and he told me that he’d be in New York for another six days. He said that I should come over. It would only be a one-way bus ticket because his parents were going to get him and would bring me home with him.
“Dude. Just come down.”
“All right.”
I ended up actually taking pictures. Here is the view from the window of Krag’s dorm. The tallest building towards the left is the Freedom Tower. It’s like the new World Trade Center. If you zoom in really far you’d probably be able to find a couple of greenish pixels that are the Statue of Liberty. It’s not big. When I think of the fact that people used to be able to go inside of it and climb up to the torch, I just imagine like a chimney sweeper. Either way, there’s that.
This was taken from the Staten Island Ferry on the ride to Manhattan. It’s a machine gunner.
I guess the main reason for me going to New York was because we were going to see Jeffrey Lewis, but it was at a 21 and over thing.
The huge guy at the door: “Sorry.”
Krag: “Look, we’re not going to drink or anything, we just want to see Jeffrey Lewis.”
Huge guy: “Sorry.”
Then, ROLAND came.
Yep. He was texting me and Krag about how he should come down, and he was asking about the bus tickets and everything to make it sound like he was serious, but then Krag got a text that said, “Dude I just booked it!”
So Roland came. We had a great day in Brooklyn while Krag was in class. Here’s Poseidon I think:
The Big Arch. Beyond this is the park, which we explored.
Part of Prospect Park. The parks are vast.
Here’s Roland digging a good room. It’s classic. It looked like a genuine room, which you don’t see anymore. This was in Rocco’s. It’s a pastry shop. You go in and order amazing coffee and all of the pastries are small and expensive, but they are quality pastries.

At some point I went to visit Brooklyn College, which I applied to. If you pause the video at 9 seconds, you’ll see a group of people playing hacky-sack. They invited me to play and I ended up playing with them for an hour. They’re cool. There was this Indian girl.
Edit: I forgot. Then me and Jonalyn went to dinner. We couldn’t take a Gerald pic with two Geralds. We tried using a mirror. We wanted a cheers with the glasses.
See, I want to document the whole trip now, but I just have these pictures. Either way, we ended up leaving Roland behind. He was very doubtful about finding the bus.

Libra
So… I’m pregnant!
We just took a test last night, and it was positive. Joel and I talked about how long to wait before telling everyone (especially considering everything we went through last time). But I said, “Screw it. I’m telling everybody! We all need a little joy.”
So it’s super early and all, but we need all the smiles we can get. Love you guys!
Jared Got Published
Jared submitted one of his stories to a magazine on line and they decided to include it in one of their issues. Ask him about it.
In other news, I lost my job and have to look for another one……
Christmas News
Wow – it’s been a long time since anyone posted on this site. Anyways, I wanted to try to make some plans for Xmas. This is basically to Corey and Gage, but Aaron if you’re out there CALL HOME ONCE IN A WHILE DAMMIT. Do you guys remember me asking you if you’d want to go to Pittsburgh on Sunday to do something with Betsy and Jerry? Well, they thought they’d like to do that instead of coming up on Xmas day. Sorry Corey, Steelers tickets are out. The thing we came up with doing is to go to the Cathedral of Learning at Pitt and tour the Nationality Rooms. They decorate them for Xmas according to the different countries, I think. Then we could go somewhere to get something to eat. I need to know if you guys think this is something you’d like to do on Sunday, because if not I’ll have to try to persuade Betsy to come up on Xmas day.(The only other thing is ice skating; let me know if you like that option better.) Xmas Eve we’ll be going to mass as usual, but I’m waiting to hear from you guys to see whether to have Joni and Johnny and all on Xmas Eve or Xmas day. (Don’t know if you have plans with others, etc.) So let me know your preferences, and we’ll go from there. Luv ya.
Hi Mia!!!
