How games are changing our world

I watched two videos today about game technology that are truly enlightening. The first is enjoyable, and the second is quite disturbing.

Easter Time

I gotta get moving for Easter Sunday! It looks like Aaron, Jared, and Gage will be home for Easter for sure. Corey, what are your plans? It would be cool if you could make it.

I did something weird this holiday – I haven’t called anyone to invite them for dinner like I usually do. I want to see if anyone really cares about getting together – Dad thinks the answer is no. We’ll see.

It’s Beach House Time

Well, I’m doing the summer beach house search. This year’s week starts Saturday, August 13. I’m looking to find out which beach everyone likes better – Carolina or Wrightsville. It’s kind of hard to get an oceanfront at Wrightsville (the one we had last year might be the only good one so far), but there are some nice ones a few houses away. Anyway, give me your opinions or suggestions if you’re planning on coming down!!!!

By Popular Demand

Thought I’d drop a line to say happy spring to everyone. Ahh, the snow, the peaceful clean white snow. But I’ll be busy now with my new Craig’s list purchase which should roll in here any day now. John Deere 110. Yes, we went with JD here at Salzano Supply and we think we made the right move. Prices are going up! With Susan’s help I located this 110 in Berea, Ohio, 100 miles west of here. Quite a savings. Well be good for spring. Stop by and operate our 2003 J Deere 110

Happy Birthday GeraldMackerel.com

Today marks one year since the first post on this website. Since then, we have created 88 posts and 467 comments. Perhaps, some things that might not have been shared otherwise.

I can’t help but enjoy how all of you were able to climb on board and make use of this mess called a wordpress website. I am sure we all feel like we could post here more often, but that feeling never goes away.

One great thing about the web is that once you hit the publish button, your message is no longer under your control. Each time a person (or a robot!) visits our little site a new copy is made to be shared. This website will likely exist somewhere much longer than I am able to pay 7$ a year to maintain control over our dot com. About a month ago, I read something about services that can make books out of blog websites.

Bestseller or not, this website is the perfect vehicle for us to share without the distractions of any other place online. I like to think our first year was a great break-in period, and at this point we might be ready for version 1.0. Hell, mom just discovered Fast Company and Felix just got a facebook.

Eighty-nine posts.

I went skiing

I went skiing for the first time ever on Saturday. Scott and I went spring mountain, a place only about 20 minutes from his house in Phoenixville. I had a blast, and I am left wondering why I waited so long to try.

After about 20 minutes of slow speed falls, I was good to go. Good, until I followed Scott off the side of the half pipe. What he did you could call a “drop in.” I wasn’t so lucky. He got his, though, and took one of the jumps too fast before we left. I was surprised by the amount of jumps and grind rails throughout the trails. Jared, you would love this place.
