Facebook introduced a new feature where you can download all of your posts, updates, etc. I figure it’s a good thing to do every once in awhile for Felix’s updates and stuff since Twitter just lost everyone’s tweets from the past couple years. So you can look back on it when Felix is like 17 and a drug addict. Kidding.

I have 2 pairs of black socks that are not being claimed by anyone here. Is anybody missing a black pair of socks with a white Nike swoosh on them, or a black pair of dress socks with a diamond pattern?? Let me know!

Well, just wanted to say thanks to everyone for driving down another year. It was awesome to see each of you, and Felix had a blast hanging with his grands and uncles, that’s for sure. We came back to find our AC broken, but the guy came to fix it within a couple hours. Felix was hanging out in a diaper, being sponged off under the fan when he arrived. 🙂
Anyway, I know the travel was rough for most of you – I know 95 was a terror when we came up that way – I am appreciative that we don’t have to travel for vacation every year, but all of you do. It was a little less organized than I would prefer, but my grocery list got tossed on Tuesday when we heard about Grandma, and realized we were heading north. The timing felt a little strange, but I can’t think of a better way to get through that than for all of us to be together.

Here is the recipe if you would like to make it on your own. Truly, I am posting this so next year when I forget my cookbook I am still golden.
1/2 c chunky peanut butter
1/4 c soy sauce
1/4 c sesame oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 T sugar
1/4 c cider vinegar
4 1/2 t hot pepper oil
1 c sour cream
3 or 4 T milk
3 lb turkey (or chicken)
Combine all ingredients except milk and meat. Thin the sauce with a little milk if necessary to make consistency of softly whipped cream.
The recipe calls for 1/2 of the sauce used as a marinade.
Serve sauce at room temp or heat on low.
Can add sugar for even sweeter sauce or a little cayenne for spicier.

I got the family invitation for the summer picnic, so I’m passing the info along. It’s September 5th, 1:00, at Scotland Meadows Park in Union Township. Hot dogs and corn, everyone else brings a dish or dessert. Ronny Cook sings his Italian songs over a mike so the whole park hears him, and everyone dances around in a line. Other than that, it’s a nice time to see everyone.
