Black Mountain
Does anyone remember the name or address of the place we stayed in last year? I just found out someone’s parents own a place on that same hillside.

Tickets purchased
Heading North again May 1-5. Joel has to work, so Felix and I will be flying solo. This kid is accumulating airline miles like you would not believe. 🙂 Now we just have to get him a passport.
Looking forward to seeing the ground up there this time…

Vacation photos
I finally moved these photos off my phone.
Double booked
Just bought our tickets for the Biltmore. This is going to blow your minds. Truthfully. Dad, bring your reading glasses b/c there is about 12 hours worth of plaques to read. 250 rooms in this house. And Jared, Thomas Jefferson’s backyard is nothing compared to this. Seriously insane. Can’t wait. http://www.biltmore.com/visit/default-b.asp
I got the guided tour for everyone too. I know it seems dorky to wear the headphones the whole time, but we’ve done it before and I wouldn’t go without it. So much info. This will probably take a large part of one day. It is 90 minutes long for the audio alone, plus there is so much more to do there. Winery tour, garden tours, etc. We can decide how we want to spend the day when we get to the cabin, but tickets to tour the house are for Tues Aug 7th.
Family Photos
A friend of mine has been offering to take pictures of Felix, and I’ve been meaning to take him up on it and send out an Easter card on time. We were trying to get together today, but it just didn’t happen. Joel was about to be mad at me since I made him change his shirt, so we stopped by the park to grab a shot we could use so the cards would go out in time. We were short on time – Felix had just taken his reflux med, so he needed to eat in promptly 30 minutes. We jumped out, walked down to the gazebo, set up the tripod and bam: ready to go. As I was fiddling with the timer on my camera, Angela walks up. “What are you doing?” Me: “Taking pictures, what are you doing?” Angela: “Ohhhh, ok. My turn.” And she poses for her solo shot. I take it, and show her on the screen. “That’s me!” she says. “Yep. That’s you.” Then she walks away. I figure out how to set up the timer, and we are ready to go. I frame the shot with Joel in it, set the timer and walk over to jump in. Here comes Angela. She doesn’t want to miss the shot.
So this will be your Easter card. Because nothing productive happened after I peed my pants.
