Well you probably already heard the news. I meant to post (or communicate) sooner, but Joel is quite busy with the computer for classes and I have been working nights. We, well I am quite surprised. I really hadn’t much entertained the fact that it might be a girl. Joel and Felix don’t seem too phased either way, but it is still settling in for me.
We did not find out at the doctor’s office. We waited to find out until later that night when we were taking pictures. So in the picture we were honestly expecting blue confetti…
Heading North again May 1-5. Joel has to work, so Felix and I will be flying solo. This kid is accumulating airline miles like you would not believe. 🙂 Now we just have to get him a passport.
Looking forward to seeing the ground up there this time…
So… I’m pregnant!
We just took a test last night, and it was positive. Joel and I talked about how long to wait before telling everyone (especially considering everything we went through last time). But I said, “Screw it. I’m telling everybody! We all need a little joy.”
So it’s super early and all, but we need all the smiles we can get. Love you guys!
Here is today’s note. 
Just bought our tickets for the Biltmore. This is going to blow your minds. Truthfully. Dad, bring your reading glasses b/c there is about 12 hours worth of plaques to read. 250 rooms in this house. And Jared, Thomas Jefferson’s backyard is nothing compared to this. Seriously insane. Can’t wait. http://www.biltmore.com/visit/default-b.asp
I got the guided tour for everyone too. I know it seems dorky to wear the headphones the whole time, but we’ve done it before and I wouldn’t go without it. So much info. This will probably take a large part of one day. It is 90 minutes long for the audio alone, plus there is so much more to do there. Winery tour, garden tours, etc. We can decide how we want to spend the day when we get to the cabin, but tickets to tour the house are for Tues Aug 7th.

Last year for Christmas mom got me this handy dandy grocery list organizer. You press record and say what you need. It recognizes your voice and adds it to the list. Then you can print the list on little paper.
Felix has decided he owns it. Since his alphabet magnets are on the fridge, that anything on the fridge must belong to him. He loves to play with it. Most of the time he presses record and stands still, because he loves the ‘try again’ sound. But sometimes he adds strange things to my list.
Reminds me of what Jared used to do to moms list. Imitating her own handwriting and everything.
Looks like she is heading our way. We plan to pack up some things and head to Charlotte tomorrow after I get out of work if it is still looking like a cat 3 direct hit is possible. Just wanted to keep you posted.
