We’re quite proud of you too. I bet your mom didn’t like the ants in the fridge segment.

no tunnels, and, surprisingly, she didnt mind at all. i think she thought it was quite cool.

the instructable is sweet! i can’t believe you can only get ants a couple of months a year! i thought you just didn’t want to yet… i wonder what they use the ant farm ant farm for the rest of the year…sea monkeys? triops?

your instructable is awesome! very detailed. nick thought it was very cool as well, and is currently shopping for ant farms on the internet. i was just wondering why you have to refrigerate the ants.

uh, basically to put them out and make them like “duhhhhh”. then they’ll be less likely to bite you or run around. thats cool that he’s getting an ant farm, though. there are worms farms, too.

No, fridge basically puts them out so they’re easier to handle.

ANT UPDATE: The ants have finish burying the dead ones and they’re now starting to tunnel.

ive begun to notice that the sandy areas surrounding this hotel are one big huge ant farm. the variety of ants in texas would blow your mind. i saw some huge ones today that were going like 90 miles an hour. tried to take a pic but you couldnt see the ants in the pic. should i throw some in the fridge?

Mmmmm…. I think I’d get a tank ready first, but you could try… And I dont know how they would react to the temperature change from Texas to PA…
