so im working in this hotel and we are working at night and its kind of hard to fit meals into my schedule. there isnt a kitchen in my room, and going out to eat all the time isnt smart. so before the next big job im thinking about buying a blender and making smoothies all the time. Does anybody have any good recipies? (or smoothie blends, mixtures, idk what you’d call it)

better ask Mike about smoothies, he’s the master.
my fave is watermelon canteloupe but that would be hard in a hotel. adding strawberries always helps everything. but all you really need is some good protein mix (muscle milk tastes the best) and soy milk. i like using soy milk instead of regular milk b/c it doesnt get frothy (picture yoohoo compared to chocolate milk). and vanilla flav soy milk is pretty good. nutty taste, but you get used to it. if you want fruit smoothies you can use ice and protein and fruit and some yogurt if you have some.
joel will have to fill you in on his pb and j recipe.
everyone at work talks about these http://www.jambajuice.com/
I would def head to the jamba juice on forbes and see what works for you. They are the best. Some of my old favs were peanut butter, strawberries, bannana, protein, ice, milk. I call that one the pb&j. Another is pb, honey, bannana milk, ice and protein. Oh and i recommend natural flavor protein from vitamin world (2 scoops per shake). Its pretty inexpensive and works in just about anything…but i also agree with mia, that if your looking for flavor in the protein then muscle milk is hard to beat. Good luck!
So…how is the smoothie makin goin? I was thinking last night about how awesome you would be at making smoothies b/c you mix up all your food to begin with and come up with your own favorite ‘meals’. Ex: spaghetti sandwich. Ew. And I’ve seen you do some crazy things with a plain old chicken pattie.
when i make smoothies in the magic bullet, i use one container of yogurt, one banana, and handfuls of whatever frozen fruit i have in the freezer.
mia is right though, you should just put your signature wonton/hot and sour soup combo in a blender.
Corey- You have a Magic Bullet?! Like the one on the infomercial? I watched almost the entire thing! When they made pizza, a salad…… everything else…..
kayli: everyone has a magic bullet.
Haha
Also lately Ive been putting in apx 1 teaspoon of honey into every smoothie. Seems like it makes the fruit flavor sweeter.
Unbelievable Smoothie Breakthrough!
Use Jello to add flavor to any smoothie! I mixed in some mixed fruit jello with pineapple in it and a banana with some random juice, protein and ice! Freakin Awesome! Im gona experiment with pudding next!
