Easter’s Coming!

We only have a couple of weeks until Easter, so I thought it would be great to find out what everyone is planning on doing for the holiday BESIDES GOING TO CHURCH. Easter sure isn’t as much fun as when little kids are around to have egg hunts and hide baskets. Jared will still expect that though, and I refuse to just use the living room cabinets again this year.

Hmm. No plans. Joel and I discussed having people over, but I can’t seem to find my purpose this Easter…Is it just me or did we tend to switch it up for Easter? It seems like all other holidays had such a traditional routine, but Easter? I mean I know church, usually some kite flying, but the rest just seems sort of lax. Maybe I have sugar-induced amnesia. But then again, maybe it always was all about the chocolate. Remember the year Corey ate the whole chocolate bunny in one day? BTW..mom- can we make some chocolate happen this year? People just don’t get it here. You do not buy Easter chocolate at Walmart. I guess I will just have to incorporate the things that were a constant: dyeing eggs and dinosaur capsules. Miss you guys.

When you guys were little we usually spent Easter at Gram Salzano’s house, where tradition always sort of got lost in the confusion. At home we usually went with just hidden Easter baskets, chopping up the palms, roasted lamb dinner, and church. I spent most of the rest of my day trying to steal candy from everyone’s baskets. I’ll get right on the candy shipment; give me an idea of what you need. I just found out this week that people wait in line on Monday morning to get into Jameson’s for 1/2 price Easter candy!

Happy Easter to you all! We are going to celebrate by going to church, thanking God for all of our blessings, and having dinner with the family. I miss you guys so much, know that I think of you during all the holidays. I guess it’s just the way it goes for us, but I think about you all often. Talk to you soon.

Love, JR

Chopping up palms…forgot about that. I might have to go swipe some from Immaculate Conception. Maybe they have the same kind of deal going on Monday…

Let’s buy rabbits. Lots of em. Then release them into the wild and see if they intermingle with wild rabbits.
