It’s Spring but I can’t tell

I happened upon a patio furniture set. I could say that I laid claim to it last fall when I helped my friend’s dad move it all into his shed. Now it’s here, thanks to Sargent Dodge. Chairs eager to support people and a tiled table to match.

All I need now is suitable weather and 10 minutes. Sunday afternoon was ideal, but I spent most of the day on a sheet of ice. Even if the sun shines, I will be headed to the coldest spot in town all week long.

We lost game two. We are tied1-1 and play game three of five on Wednesday. Next weekend, I am playing in a Labatt Blue USA Hockey tournament. Two games Friday, one Saturday and more if we win.

We had a blast. We lost the first two and won the third game, but now we’re sure we’re doing that every year. Only 20 rinks in the US get to host the tournament, so there were teams here from Meadville, PA and WVU.

The rink gets 12 half kegs of Labatt’s, the most allowed by law at a time. I personally had the last go at number eight. Our goalie, Kirk, got hurt during game two so we had to replace him.

Next game is Thursday as part of the playoffs for the winter league. I am already paid in full for Summer I, a 10 game series that starts in week and a half. The Mud Bugs roster is so full that we may start a second team before October to find everyone a spot.
